Villa del Sueño

Did eat there. Excellent service. Did not experienence anything like it in Costa Rica. Awesome food and service. Highly recommend it. Good wine list at decent prices. Food is just excellent and worth every dollar. Especially loved the linguine seafood. Al dente like in Italy. We certainly come back.

What amazing staff and resort. Very peaceful, delicious food and amazing staff. Leo, Jose & Veronica went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Inclusive, the cook made me homemade chicken soup, when I got seasick while snorkeling. All of the dishes were exceptionally good. Friday night music was so much fun!!! Wish it was done every night. Thank you Villas del Sueño for a memorable anniversary.

We just loved this place. The pics totally matched the room we were given. The breakfast and dinner staff really are just top notch, especially Gerald and Ronnie. We had dinner there nearly every night ! The apartment was very spacious, but a bit dated, but fully equipped for cooking your own meals or making drinks, coffee etc. We would stay here again just to see Ronnie at dinner !

I stayed in the villas for 6 weeks with my children. I absolutely loved the hotel. It is close to the ocean, quiet, safe and close enough larger towns and cities if you are looking for more hustle and bussle. The staff were amazing! They treated us like family and kept an eye out for us as they knew it was just me and the kids. They even helped arrange child care for my little one so me and my older son could go zip lining.

We just returned from Villa del Sueno - a lovely hotel with the friendliest staff and most delicious food we had in Costa Rica. Rooms are simple but very comfortable with both air conditioning and ceiling fans. We were fortunate to be there for music on 2 nights - the first band was the Dream Machine, which had most of us up and dancing. Very fun. Close to the beach, it has 2 pools that were a welcome respite from the heat. We found the other guests to be friendly, and a wide range of travellers - families, couples, young and older. I highly recommend Villa del Sueno as a place to stay in Costa Rica.

Villa del Sueno is a very special place... .luxurious accommodation, wonderful staff ( Special mention to William and Ronnie) beautiful food and just a few minutes away from a gorgeous beach. I can't wait to come back, thank you for looking after me

Bucket list adventure. Could not have picked a better time and location to spend a week in Costa Rica.Accommodations and staff were excellent.Enjoyed a wonderful Valentines evening dinner with a live band .Delicious breakfast included. If you want to go to CR and just relax and enjoy it this is the place to go.Can't say enough good things about this place.Secluded but still close to beach and other attractions.Easy 30 minute drive from Liberia Airport.

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at this hotel near the quiet but fun Playa Hermosa. Five minute walk to the south end of the beach. My wife and I often walked to the the north end of the beach for better people watching and access to a couple beach front bar/restaurants. The hotel staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Took advantage of both the small pool near the main part of the hotel and a medium size pool closer to our room. Enjoyed live music 4 out of the 8 nights we stayed there. The included breakfast was a delightful way to start each morning in the outdoor restaurant patio. Easy drive to the more lively beach town of Playas del Coco. Would definitely stay hear again. Pro tip: if you enjoy the beach and want a beach chair, rent from nearby Mango Baby. The rent both beach gear and baby gear. We picked them up from their store front, but they would likely drop off for you.

We had a terrible experience at the Bahia del Sol in Playa Potreo- we arrived only to find that almost the whole hotel was reserved for a wedding and were greeted by over 70 people in the pool and lawn area all drinking and dancing to a DJ with terrible booming music. We were not informed and we didn't want to stay there in the middle of someone else party. We went to the carpark to book a place to stay and found Villa del Sueno at the last minute. We drive the monkey trail and arrived at dusk, we missed out beach sunset.... The receptionist was calm, professional and friendly and spoke clearly to my elderly friend. We were able to sit down and have a glass of water on arrival. The room were were given was fantastic, super clean and close to the pool. Two bedrooms and a kitchen. All staff members were professional and friendly from the two guards we met to the workers in the restaurant. The live music was lovely, not overwhelming and added a great ambience. The food was delicious- we were ver hungry after our ordeal. The waiting staff in the restaurant were very attentive, addressed us by our names and it's the first time in Costa Rica I usted a butter knife! our water glasses were topped up often and we had a really nice evening. We can't wait to return and we are so glad that our trip worked out in the end after an ordinary start. Thank you to the receptionist Daniela, she was excellent.And the waiter Jairo.
